LOCATION

Cyano Hotel is located in the heart of Plakias. Walking for about 5 minutes you can visit the sandy beach of Plakias which reaches 1300 meters in length and is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete. The old Rethymno town is just 30km away from the hotel. Inside the old town and along the coastal road there are many cafes, taverns and shops to do your shopping and buy your souvenirs. At 23 km away from Rethymno you will find the Arkadi Monastery, which has been designated by the UNESCO as European Monument of Freedom.

For swimming there are many sandy beaches on both the north and south of the prefecture. Starting from Plakias, there’s the Skinos Beach in a walking distance. In the town of Rethymnon, you can stop at the homonymous 12km long beach which ends in Skaleta area. A little further is Panormos and continuing to Heraklion we reach Bali. On the southern side near the Monastery of Prevelis, 8.4km from our Hotel, there is the homonymous beach with the second largest palm grove of Crete, which crosses the Koutaliotis River and is probably considered the most beautiful of the island. 20 km away is the beach of Triopetra, with its three impressive rocks emerging from the sea and crystal clear waters. Whatever you choose to visit it will definitely compensate you.
